Quilted Strait Row of Swallows, PDF Pattern

Quilted Strait’s Row of Swallows Pattern was inspired by the chirping of the swallows that signal the beginning of spring each year in Port Gamble. Pattern includes fabric requirements, cutting directions, and instructions for both foundation piecing and using templates. We used Kaffe Fassett fabrics in our row – but of course you can use anything you like, 1/8 yard pieces and scraps are all you need to complete the row. The blocks were designed for Row by Row 2018, but the row finishes at 9″ x 36″ and so makes a perfect table runner with the addition of borders. The pattern also includes directions for setting the swallow block into an 18″ square, a 12″ x 27″ row, or a 6″ x 54″ row. Finished swallow blocks measure 6″ x 6″.
